Aromachology

When talking about modern aromatherapy,we speak about the work of the French chemist R.M. Gattefosse (in 1930) who recorded the antiseptic and the penetrating qualities (via inhalation) in the human body ... The use of aromatherapy is known since ancient times and the first appearance is somewhere in the era of Gilgamesch, where the use of aromatic smoke (fumigation) was used to sanitize and purify the atmosphere of places where there were patients. The Greek Theophrastus refers more thoroughly in his work "about odors", "about the senses", and "about plant stories" for the use of aromatic compounds on the disease, health, life and death ...
 
As a complement of aromatherapy there is aromatology which manages the fragrance to transmit a desirable possession in emotions. Smell is a very important function that helps us to distinguish approximately 10,000 different odors. An average person can recognize the vanilla of 0.000000005 g in a liter of air. It reminds us of pleasant or unpleasant situations which we associate with a specific smell.We are pleased by the smell of a dish, but also it warns us when it has "gone off" and has become dangerous ... In contrast to the taste,which recognizes only sour, bitter, salty and sweet, olfaction is that which "recognizes" the food and beverage  from which we derive pleasure. Of course everybody cannot smell as good, and we do not like various odors the same. Our education, our geographical origin and our memories are what make us like a smell or not. For example, the aroma of a professor we feared, as much as it was nice though, creates fear and insecurity. Eventually the nose alone can tell us when feel good and when not.
